About this grant

Supports organizations conducting home study evaluations of potential sponsors and providing post-release services to unaccompanied alien children released from ORR custody. Services include in-person home visits, safety assessments, and three levels of case management support to ensure child safety, well-being, and successful community integration. Programs must operate nationwide and serve children with trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically responsive approaches.

Expected total program funding of $555 million across up to 20 awards
Continuation funding based on submission and approval of non-competing continuation applications

Eligibility

Must not be an individual, sole proprietorship, federal entity, or foreign entity
Must have prior experience providing child welfare and child protective services
Must have experience serving children with disabilities and trafficking victims
Must have experience serving foreign-born immigrant children and families
Must have staff highly proficient in children's preferred languages or access to interpreters
Must be able to provide services nationwide via multi-regional office model (4+ regional offices in different states) or remote workforce model (8+ regions)
Must not request funding above the $100 million award ceiling
Faith-based and community organizations that meet eligibility requirements are eligible
