Supports nonprofit entities that develop and deploy workforce training programs in partnership with manufacturing companies. Projects must focus on training individuals with employment barriers, engaging youth in manufacturing career awareness, and increasing local manufacturer capacity where existing programs are insufficient.

Eligibility

Must be a non-profit entity
Must develop training programs and partner with manufacturing companies to deploy programs
Eligible entities include technical and trade schools, school districts, post-secondary academic institutions, workforce investment boards, and economic development organizations
Projects must focus on developing and deploying workforce training for those with employment barriers
Projects must engage youth or those with barriers in awareness activities for manufacturing careers
Projects must increase local manufacturer capacity where existing programs are insufficient
