About this grant

Funds a single qualified organization to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive community-based ecosystem of services for justice-involved youth ages 14–21 and their families. The selected grantee will oversee a sub-grant fund, lead capacity-building for subgrantees, manage community engagement events, and administer a Youth and Family Emergency Stabilization Fund. Programming focuses on workforce readiness, life skills, financial literacy, career exploration, and family engagement centered around the MLK Achievement Center.

Eligibility

Must be a public or private community-based organization or institution registered in the District of Columbia
Non-profit and for-profit organizations are eligible; for-profit organizations may NOT include profit in the grant application
No fiscal agents or individuals will be accepted; applicants must be organizations
Organizations must be incorporated/registered to operate in the District of Columbia
Organizations must have experience serving at-risk and/or justice-involved youth
Organizations must demonstrate a primary vision and program focus on serving children, youth and/or families
501(c)(4) organizations that engage in lobbying activities are not eligible
Organizations must be deeply connected, rooted, and invested in the neighborhoods they serve and be culturally and linguistically competent
