• Grant award between $2,500 and $50,000
• Funding for meals, food boxes, care packages, and senior-specific pantry items
• Funding for capital improvements such as kitchen and senior center remodels
• Funding for equipment purchases including ovens, freezers, sinks, pallet stackers
• Funding for education and wellness classes, community gardens, and social opportunities
• Funding for wheelchair ramps and accessible equipment

• Prior contact with program officer to discuss project before submission

• Must be a nonprofit organization, church, special district (school or hospital district), or governmental entity
• Must provide services to individuals residing in the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle
• Organization must have been established and active for at least three years
• Cannot have an existing, active Healthy Senior Grant
• All previous/current grant award requirements must be met before submitting a new application
• Foundation will consider only one request per organization

The Mary E. Bivins Foundation, a Texas non-profit corporation, was formed in 1949. The purposes / mission for which the corporation was formed are: (A) to operate for the benefit of nursing homes established for worthy, aged, and needy persons. (B) to operate for the benefit of nursing homes established for worthy, aged, and needy persons suffering from Alzheimers disease. (C) to operate for the benefit of worthy religious undertakings, including the education of ministers to preach the Christian religion. (D) to operate for the benefit of worthy charitable organizations or undertakings which serve worthy, aged, or needy persons. (E) to be organized and operated in a manner to support or benefit one or more specified publicly supported organizations pursuant to section 1.509(A)-4(D) of the Treasury Regulations.
