About this grant

Funds the acquisition and preservation of open spaces, high-quality ecological areas, wetlands, forests, and stream corridors in Lucas County, Ohio. Subdivision applicant code from OPWC
ORAM scoring sheet (if Category 3 wetlands are involved)
100-year title search documentation (for mineral/oil/gas/solar/wind lease question)

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include local governments, parks districts, conservation districts, and 501(c)(3) environmental and conservation organizations
Non-profit organizations must be exempt from federal income taxation with at least one designated activity directly related to grant purposes under ORC Sections 164.20 to 164.27
Applicants must request a subdivision applicant code from OPWC prior to application
Projects must include acquisition of land by purchase or permanent conservation easement (unless development-only on prior Clean Ohio-funded property)
A 25% minimum local match is required from the applicant
Projects and funding requests may not be phased over multiple funding rounds
Complete application must be uploaded to WorksWise by 5:00 PM on October 16, 2026
Project must receive at least 60% of possible points to be considered for recommendation
