Grant for Small Nonprofits in Connecticut Communities

• Grant award of up to $5,000 for program expenses
• Funding for direct services to the community in education, human services, or arts and culture

• Online application submitted via the Grants Portal
• Final report for any previously approved grant must be submitted before new requests are considered

• Organization must be tax exempt under IRS section 501(c)(3); public libraries may also apply
• Programs and services must be located in the Foundation's 64-town Connecticut service area
• Organizations with a budget greater than $250,000 applying for programs in New Britain or Waterbury must use the Program Grant application instead
• Only one Community Grant can be awarded per agency in a calendar year
• Agencies awarded a Program Grant in the past 12 months are not eligible to apply
• Organizations may reapply for up to three consecutive years; after three consecutive awards, a one-year waiting period applies
• Program requests cannot include computers or other capital purchases
