About this grant

Provides seed funding to catalyze meaningful partnerships between the University of Utah College of Health and community stakeholders, supporting new collaborations, existing partnership sustainment, and community-engaged projects. Funded projects address community-identified needs through teaching, learning, or research with an emphasis on mutual benefit and long-term impact. Projects are funded for 12 months following the notice of award.

Summary (150 words or less)
Narrative (1,000 words maximum, double-spaced)
Itemized budget with detailed rate/quote sources
Letter of support from community partner(s) or faculty/staff partner
Additional faculty mentor letter (for students)
All documents submitted as one combined PDF
Email submission to COHCommunityEngagement@utah.edu with 'Seed Grant Proposal' in subject line

Eligibility

Primary affiliation must be within the College of Health (for faculty, staff, and students)
Students must apply with the support of a faculty mentor whose primary affiliation is within the College of Health
Community members must apply with a faculty or staff partner whose primary affiliation is within the College of Health
Preference given to partnerships that have not received previous College of Health seed funding in the last 3 years
Proposals must be $5,000 or less
No more than 50% of funds may be used for internal purposes (travel, salary, etc.)
