About this grant

SPARK (Shifting Power through Action and Reciprocal Knowledge Exchange) funds youth-led, women-led, and indigenous-led community-based organizations that are innovatively applying WHO guidelines and tools in sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and rights work. The program prioritizes organizations that center community voice and decision-making, integrate health programming across sectors such as climate, education, and workforce, and document their approaches to strengthen the broader IBP Network.

How to apply

Initial concept note of no more than 500 words
Organizational overview including leadership structure demonstrating youth, women, and/or indigenous leadership
Proposed activity description including WHO SRMNCAH guideline(s) or tool(s) to be used
Power-shifting approach description
Proposed budget of up to $20,000
Proposed implementation timeline and key milestones
Documentation and learning plan
Shortlisted applicants: financial statements, one letter of support, and WHO requirements for working with non-state actors

Eligibility

Must be a youth-led, women-led, or indigenous-led organization
Must be a community-based organisation working directly with the populations they serve
Must have been operating for at least 2 years
Must have implementation experience using at least one WHO guideline, tool or product previously
Priority given to organizations new to WHO/IBP Network funding mechanisms
Must demonstrate strong community accountability and leadership
