About this grant

Provides microgrants to youth-led teams ages 15–24 to implement new climate action projects in Bellevue, Washington. Projects can focus on climate mitigation, resilience, or engagement across areas such as energy, mobility, waste, and natural resources. Funds are disbursed through a fiscal sponsor organization and support materials, supplies, and youth participation expenses.

Technical assistance for designing effective projects and writing proposals
Funding disbursed in November 2026

How to apply

Project proposal application (opens August 15, 2026)
Early Interest Form (recommended before August 15)
Documentation of team composition and ages
Project budget narrative (with 15% allocated for fiscal sponsor admin expenses)
Regular reports and documentation of expenditures post-award

Eligibility

Teams of no fewer than 3 members must be ages 15–24
At least one team member must be 18 or older and live in or go to school in Bellevue
Youth must be involved in project planning, proposal writing, and project execution
Projects must be new and located in the City of Bellevue
Funds must be disbursed through a legally registered nonprofit or charitable fiscal sponsor organization
Fiscal sponsor must have a bank account in the organization's name
Projects must align with the Sustainable Bellevue Plan focus areas
