About this grant

Funds youth-planned and youth-led projects aimed at reducing mental health stigma and promoting suicide prevention among peers in Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, and the City of Falls Church. Projects must be designed and implemented by young people, with adults serving only in mentorship or sponsorship roles. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, youth groups affiliated with public schools, and public agencies.

Eligibility

Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a youth group affiliated with one, a youth-serving group affiliated with Fairfax County Public Schools, or a public agency other than the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board
Must serve youth from Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, and/or the City of Falls Church
Project must be planned and implemented by youth; adults may serve as mentors or sponsors only
Funding may not be used for salaries or other personnel costs
Applicants who have not previously received a mini-grant will receive priority
