About this grant

Provides funding and tailored technical assistance to strengthen collaborative, community-led approaches to youth and community violence prevention. Awardees select from established focus areas including environmental scanning, strategic planning, and youth leadership development, and are matched with a technical support partner throughout the project period. The program supports local health departments, community-based organizations, and government agencies working to prevent violence at the community level.

Eligibility

Must be a community-based organization, local health department, local government agency, or other entity working to prevent youth and community violence at the local level
Must be based in the United States or its territories
Must serve a community with a demonstrated need related to youth and community violence
Must propose work that supports a collaborative, community-level approach to violence prevention rather than internal operations of a single organization
Must be connected to broader violence prevention efforts in their community
Must be able to enter into a fee-for-service contract with NACCHO and execute the contract within 30 days of receipt
Must have an active SAM.gov registration for the duration of the contracting and project period
Proposed RISE activities must be distinct and non-duplicative of activities supported through other federal funding
