About this grant

Funds projects to enhance the availability, quality, and delivery of services to minor victims of human trafficking, including both sex and labor trafficking. Programs must be tailored to the developmental stages of children and youth, and may serve eligible family members when services impact the minor's safety, security, and healing. Funded organizations are expected to engage survivors in program design and implementation.

Eligibility

Must be a state, county, city/township, or tribal government; public institution of higher education; public housing authority; Indian housing authority; 501(c)(3) nonprofit (other than institution of higher education); or other unit of local government
Must include a 25% cost share (match) from cash and/or in-kind contributions
Requested award amount must not exceed $950,000
Must comply with VAWA Confidentiality Provision (34 U.S.C. § 12291(b)(2))
Staff, partner staff, and service providers working with trafficking victims must be licensed and trained
Nonprofit organizations that hold money in offshore accounts to avoid taxes under 26 U.S.C. § 511(a) are not eligible
Must not promote, support, or advocate the legalization or practice of prostitution
Each application must propose a different project in a different geographic area if submitting multiple applications
