Grant for Nonprofits Expanding Mental Health Access for Young Children

• Up to three years of funding
• Grant requests under $800,000 will be most competitive
• Total pool of $4 million allocated for this RFP
• At least $1 million reserved for organizations with budgets under $2 million/year and/or led by members of historically excluded groups

• Online application submitted through the Grants Portal
• Proposal addressing at least one of the four required activity areas
• Robust evidence of need for the target population or geography
• Clear and feasible implementation plan
• Budget narrative commensurate with project contribution
• Full RFP packet reviewed and eligibility criteria met (pages 7-8)

• Project must expand access to mental/behavioral health services for children ages 0-8 and/or their caregivers
• Project must serve only families who reside in Philadelphia
• Project must be focused on families impacted by poverty or other risk factors
• Organizations proposing to expand reach of services must have a strong track record implementing MBH services for families with children in the prenatal-8-year-old age range
• Projects must not be pilot programs or studies to establish efficacy; established evidence of implementation and impact is required
• Projects must focus on expanding access for families with low incomes, people of color, and/or families whose primary language is not English
