About this grant

Supports comprehensive reentry services for moderate- to high-risk youth before, during, and after release from juvenile residential or correctional facilities. Funds two categories: government entities partnering with service providers to improve youth reentry (Category 1), and nonprofit organizations providing transitional services to assist youth in successfully reintegrating into the community (Category 2). The program aims to reduce recidivism among youth returning to their communities.

Eligibility

Category 1: Must be a state government, county government, city or township government, federally recognized Native American Tribal government, or other unit of local government
Category 2: Must be a nonprofit organization (with or without 501(c)(3) status), other than institutions of higher education
Category 1: Requires 50% cost sharing (match) from nonfederal sources
Category 2: Must include a draft or fully executed MOU demonstrating established relationship with correctional agencies overseeing the target population
Requested award amount must not exceed $750,000
Application must be responsive to the scope of the NOFO
Must be registered in SAM.gov prior to application submission
